Every credential is an Open Badges 3.0 document signed with your institution's own key, published under a did:web identifier. Anyone can check the signature and the revocation status with open tools, without calling our API.

Academic runs on the same Nomi platform — the same people, the same billing, the same API. It has a console of its own, because a registrar does not need a wallet-pass designer, and a pass designer does not need a diploma.

Do graduates need to install an app?
No. The credential opens as a web page from a link or a QR. Adding it to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet is optional and uses the wallet already on the phone.
Can we keep printing paper diplomas?
Yes. The certificate carries its verification code printed on it, so a paper copy points back to the live, verifiable credential.
What happens if we revoke a credential?
The public page says it is revoked, the signed status list changes, and the wallet pass stops showing it as valid — wherever it had been shared.
Can the verification page use our domain?
Yes. Once you prove you own your domain, verification pages and QR codes can live under a subdomain of it.
Is it the same account as Nomi?
Yes. Academic is part of your Nomi organization: the same people, members and billing, with a separate console for academic work.
